★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very close to the mosque and businesses and public transport... In short, the location is excellent. Got in by means of a travel package. Your basic hotel with reasonable facilities but no frills.

Very difficult to get rooms in high season. Quoted me SAR.18,000 for last 10 days of Ramadan.
Room is v basic with minimal comfort. Needs a refurb, but then price would probably increase further.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Now change name to azka al maqam. Go there on 2019 & 2020. budget hotel closest to the haram mosque (about 120meters). there are all 11 levels, level 1 for the dining room (small one). There is a delicious cake & coffee shop downstairs. adjacent to a pharmacy, a clothing,barber, and souvenir shop & a popular ice cream shop. within 100 meters there are private hospitals, al rajhi bank, supermarkets, kfc & mcd. in front of the hotel there is a place to wait for a taxi & bus to the place of miqat.
