Le Méridien Makkah - Ajyad

The room looked old and the bath room couldn't be locked. However, the service and the breakfast were great. The location ia close to Masjid Al Haram.

I stayed in room 1916. Wifi signals were very weak.. plus they made walls with plywood or something.. we could clearly hear left side room and right side room was keep banging our wall for keep quiet.. I guess they made 3 rooms out of 1.. their restaurant on 21st floor was ok.. not very good.. yeah, but location is perfect.. just cross the road and you are in Haram.. but personally I won't recommend this hotel..

Where do I start? Let’s start with the wifi issue. Paid for 3 rooms for 6 nights and had no wifi at all. I’m still at the hotel and can’t wait to leave. Every time I mention wifi, they go quiet but the one time they spoke, Abdur Rahman at the reception told me that there is an issue with the wifi and it will sorted within a day.. 3 days later, I write this from the data I paid for on a sim. Language. No one speaks or understands English. It’s an international chain hotel. This created several problems for us, I will list a couple below: 1) they have an emergency button on their phone and they don’t know how to deal with an emergency, they put you through to reception and reception don’t have any idea. My grandmother could have died due to their incompetence. I ask for a doctor and they say they don’t know what to do.. are these people not first aid trained at least??? Anyway, they took my grandmothers wheelchair when she finally had an ambulance come and when she returned the wheelchair disappeared.. we asked where it was and they pretty much told us to go away. Also when the ambulance came and the staff escorted them to our room, they were laughing and joking whilst my 87 year old grandmother was suffering. 2) you ask for help or assistance in and around the area… they have no idea. WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE SAT AT A RECEPTION DESK? How this is a Marriott hotel is beyond me. I have a Marriott membership and have stayed at several across the world and this is not only the worst Marriott but the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in by a country mile. I will be filing a complaint to Marriott. Plus points: The room service people and the people at breakfast are good hospitable people for the most part… everyone else needs to look for another profession. If you are from the UK or any western society do not stay here. Our societies are not perfect nor are they muslim but they have more soul and heart than our own Ummah here in Makkah, Le Meridien.

Staff & their manager Mr. Abdurhman such great people! From the door to the room, they make you feel welcome! Anytime you need it you ask for, their response is “inshallah okay” the staff go extra mile for their guests! Yes they have limited menu, but guess what if you just order Mixed Grill with fries ? or rice ? and grilled vegetables ? believe me you will keep ordering the same thing everyday ☺️ As I’m writing ✍️ this review I’m half way of my stay and 5 more days to go, I’m very happy with room, view, food and their guests services! Basically, you feel you staying with one family. Ohh almost forgot if you go to the lobby their is a small cafe ask for espresso ☕️ if you sleep ? after that cup, I will pay for your stay WHAT A COFFEE! I should put 5 start, but the WiFi from the 15th floor not strong ?? enough may be because I’m in the 19th floor. Anyway, I don’t care that much as long as excellent people around with very humble and generous personalities ? consider my rating is 4.5 ⭐️ I’m definitely inshallah will be staying with them when I’m planing to be back to Mecca in the future! Love ❤️ it.

It was very good experience staying in le meridian . Great service overall , specially the shuttle service .we always got shuttle ready outside hotel whenever we want to go haram.It took only 2 or 3 minutes to reach there. WiFi was so speedy.cleanliness was so good.

Very bad experience with their customer service and the 2 ladies sitting in the reception. Useless when calling and receive false information. They may cancel your reservation if they got better offers during the season.

Recently visited Le Meriden Makkah and we were super impressed with cleanliness, service and food. We stayed there for 6 days and loved our experience. Its just a minute walk from Haram and its very very convenient. You get to hear Adhan and prayer sounds inside room which is an amazing thing. Their breakfast had amazing variety and everything was super fresh. Highly recommended

Very fabulous hotel rooms there, with Fantastic views of Mecca, staffs are fantastic and they give good offers, It was very good experience staying in Le Meridien Makkah, Great service overall, specially the shuttle service, we always got shuttle ready outside hotel whenever we want to go haram.
