Umrah Visit If you are planning an Umrah or Hajj or simply wanting to visit Makkah...BATOUL AJYAD should seriously NOT be on your list of options. You know the saying, cleanliness is close to Godliness, this is NOT that at all. Bathooms: Shocking and extremely gross to say the least. Night one filthy rooms and bathrooms, shower curtains that look like they carry some kind of a disease. Toilets that don't flush, no hot water in our kids room. Hand towels for bath towels and a basin that you just can't look into beacuse it's brown and disgusting. They apparently have a hot water switch in the bathroom which no one tells you about...I just found out, it's located next to the light switch so good luck making the same mistake we did. Bed Room: Stained floors and dirty tiles, carpet so dirty you want to keep your shoes on. Curtains full of marks. Torn bedding, cupboard handles full or dirt marks. Rusted kettle, cups sticking to the tray. No room service cleaned our room and one roll of toilet paper which we were advise not to flush down the toilet after you clean yourself as the toilet gets stuck so they say, use a packet and throw it in there. Absolutely disgusting and nauseating. And forget about wifi, they have it but it's generally on one bar for a few minutes then... nothing... We stayed for two nights only because there were no other hotels available on the day but we checked out on day two out of a 6 night reservation. The worst hotel experience I've ever had. I highly recommend you find something else... Another thing to take note of...Agoda.com says 96 Saudi Riyal a night...my agent charged me 450 Saudi Riyal a night...just saying

Overall experience was good. Our room was clean and mostly the price was less. There is shuttle service to Al haram and they have parking place as well.

The hotel is about 1.5km from the haram, a shuttle is available. The rooms are are comfortable. Rooms only get cleaned when you are there, which does not help. Staff are not very helpful.

1st, The reservation, it was well recorded, the staff took note of our late coming (wich tou should do if you are arriving after 12 AM) 2nd, The rooms are spacious enough (to sleep) and equipped with most of what you will need as most of hotels do. 3rd, if you are someone who is crazy about cleaningness you will hate the rooms and the bathroom and you will suffer all your stay, I am not, but my wife is, and she wasn't comfortable all her stay due to that (while I did not bother at all) 4th, shuttle service highly appreciated, you will definitely need it on your way back , a small jogging wouldn't be a problem going to al Haram, but going back with a steep hill is very hard and not possible. Overall I do recommend this hotel (specially on high seasons) as the price compared to how close to al Haram it is , however if it is the low season you may go for closer hotels

very nice experience, i really enjoyed my stay there, the staff are so respectable and friendly, all the receptionists Special thanks to the room service of the first floor The room was very comfortable and clean, everything is available (kettle, tea, coffee and water) The air conditioner is excellent The bus shuttle is available 24 hours. Despite the hotel being fantastic the management was awful. We booked hotel for four person including breakfast but at the time of breakfast the management said that breakfast is only for one person. If the management had been fantastic it would deserve 5 stars.

Location & Parking "Yes" Breakfast and size of room "Big No" Liked · Location and Parking facility is the best part to book room in this hotel. Near to Haram and easy to find taxi and transportations. Nearby grocery store as well as some restaurants are just other side for the road. Room size is very small for 4 persons, very small place left to move inside room. Bathrooms are okay, not so clean but fine. Room service is approximately nil. Telephone was dead and AC filter was way too dirty that AC was not blowing Air at all. Went 4 times to reception to ask for repair and the guy said repair person is coming. He came after 4th visit but did his job in 10-15 minutes. Toiletries, towels, water bottles, tea and coffee were available Disliked · Size of the room is way too small, The breakfast is the worst part of this booking. Very bad quality food as well as limited number of items to choose from. The staff in dinning area were too rude to assist. Elevators are crowded and limited number of elevators available.

The rooms aren't cleaned every day. There's housekeeping but they don't seem bothered to clean. If you bribe them (it'll cost you 30 riyals), the rooms get cleaned including changing the sheets and getting clean towels. You can complain to reception but nothing happens. Also, house keeping claims they don't have a spare key to enter and clean the rooms.
