I'm an IHG member, stayed at a few Intercontinental Hotels and what I experienced this past weekend was not acceptable, definitely not at the standard of IHG hotels. 1. I booked a Breakfast and Dinner rate for a room for two nights. I also visited their cafes three times. 2. Even though I paid in advance for the breakfast and dinner rate, I was still presented with a bill in the Al Bustan restaurant, my first night there. 3. I went to the front desk to bring this to their attention and they said that dinner was included and they would take it off my bill upon check out. 4. I checked out finally. What I noticed was completely unexplainable, and unacceptable: - The cost of the dinner included in Al Bustan Restaurant, was billed to me, but billed by the cafes, not Al Bustan Restaurant. - One charge was from Al Bustan Restaurant, but it was for 66 Riyals, which was the cost of what I had to pay at one of the cafes I visited... - The man at the front desk told me that I had 66 Riyals worth of dinner, but at Al Bustan Restaurant. He said he would remove this from my bill. My bill then had three charges from the cafes, and nothing from Al Bustan Restaurant.. The charges on my bill from the Cafes... well over 130 Riyals each. So you're telling me I sat in the cafes and had 130 Riyals worth of tea, coffee, and cake? Three times? Please. It's obvious what happened at this hotel. They charged me for the buffet dinners, having been served in the cafes, but they charged me AFTER I had already paid for dinner for two nights, as I had booked Dinner Bed and Breakfast on the IHG site. Then they took the charges from the cafes and switched them to Al Bustan Restaruant, so they could get away with deducting a lower cost from my bill, and still get away for charging me for dinner, three dinners? Yes, they charged me for three dinners, when I only had two. This hotel is shady. They used to be good, and I used to respect them, but this is completely unacceptable for an Intercontinental Hotel to do this. It's straight up thievery, or as said in the Middle East, Ali Baba... They can say they are sorry for "wrongfully charging me for the dinner which was included in the rate plan," but they in fact charged me for THREE dinners, when dinner was already in the rate plan. If they are truly sorry, then they would have fixed this issue when I brought it to their attention, rather than pushing back at me, saying "this is what you owe." Given that I was forced to pay, and they had no regrets, It's safe to say that the management is indeed NOT concerned about their guests, their loyal guests, or their reputation. Thank you for working with, and making your true intentions clear to one of your loyal guests. If you really are concerned about your guests having "an unforgettable experience," well you have definitely succeeded... in reminding me to never stay here again. This hotel is NOT worthy of dawning the IHG logo. Completely unacceptable. Respectfully,

Such a Nice Hotel with one of the biggest Banquet hall in Riyadh. The Experience is so good. They having different gates to enter. We went to MJS group Iftar Party. The food is delicious & huge varieties were available. The chefs did the great job from salad section to live sections etc. They had different sections includes Salad, Japanese, Indian, Arabic, International, arabic desert, icecream, soft Drinks & last but not the least Coffee section. One of the best experience I ever had in Riyadh in last 1.5 years. The service is so good, the staff members are so proactive to take initiatives. The service is really mind-blowing. The overall experience was outstanding. Highly Recommended. Over all Experience - 5/5 Luxury - 5/5 Quality - 5/5 Quantity - 5/5 Taste - 5/5 Service - 5/5

A nice place to stay , very welcoming staff , my kids were upset at the beginning because the outdoor pool was under maintenance, however they enjoyed their stay , we choose the club room with an access to club lounge, varaity of chief food selection with quiet area for relaxation and massage chairs . The receptionist Mr.Hassan was very kind, he arranged a complimentary birthday cake for my elder son with a nice birthday card, appreciate his kind help and hospitality, sure we will visit Intercontinental Riyadh again

I have been vsiting Riyadh for over 22 years, Intercon was alwys my first option. The hotel lost the personal touch, I use to feel at home in this hotel and it is not any more the case. Since a couple of years, I got the same room despite any kind of reservation I could make. I always found this strange but never mind. Lately I wanted to extend my journey for one night and was rejected because the hotel was fully booked. I understand this, but the way was not friendly neither suportive. i rated the staff of front desk poor but this does not include the others staff and services.
