If you are in Makkah, and if you have time, you should definitely make an effort to visit Pappa Roti. They specialise in a unique, mouth watering caramelised butter coated Buns, alongside a variety of beverages. Itโs not something available in the UK, but they have stored across the Middle East and Asia.
We ordered a Signature Bun topped with Chocolate Sauce and a scoop of ice cream topped with caramel sauce. The bun arrived fresh, nice and hot on a wooden plate. It was the perfect snack to indulge into ?. The soft pillow texture was amazing and I canโt wait for my next visit to Pappa Roti!
The dough of the buns are carefully prepared by the chefs. It takes more than 5 hours for the dough to rise and time is given for it to ferment to the exact size. The topping are applied quickly in a circular motion so no gap is left. I must admit the the attention to the quality of the bun is exceptional.
This shop is located in Makkah Mall in the Al-Jamiah area (close to Muzdalifah), about 10/15mins drive from the Haram and is easily accessible by taxi.
