هو احد المسجد القديمة بحي ام سليم غرب بلدة الرياض قديمًا وتعد حي ام سليم من الاحياء القديمة في مدينة الرياض.
وتعود تسميتها بهذا الاسم الى نسبتًا الى قصر ام سليم للاحتفالات منذ عقود كثيرة.
وتقع ام سليم بالقرب من مستشفى الشميسي والمسمى حاليا مدينة الملك سعود الطبية، ويوجد به العديد من البيوت الطينية القديمة، وقد انتقل منه كل السكان المحليين منه.
قال تعالى: ( إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ ۖ فَعَسَىٰ أُولَٰئِكَ أَن يَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِين ).
المساجد أحب البقاع إلى الله تعالى، وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: [ أحب البلاد إلى الله مساجدها ، وأبغض البلاد إلى الله أسواقها ]، وقد رفع الله قدر المساجد ، فأضاف اسمها إلى اسمه سبحانه تشريفا وتكريما لها ولشأن من يعمرها وذلك في كتاب الله تبارك وتعالى بقوله سبحانه : { إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ فَعَسَى أُولَئِكَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ }.
Al-Rais Mosque
It is one of the old mosques in Umm Salim neighborhood, west of the old city of Riyadh. Umm Salim neighborhood is one of the old neighborhoods in the city of Riyadh.
It is named after the Umm Salim Palace for celebrations many decades ago.
Umm Salim is located near the Shumaisi Hospital, which is currently called King Saud Medical City, and there are many old mud houses, and all the local residents have moved from it.
