★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Remaz, offers Service Apartment/Apart-hotel kind of lodging. It is located in the Malaz area, within a walking distance from the famed Lebanese bakery - Wooden Bakery. The facility is in a nice neighborhood, and the premises are spic and span. It's a two storied place. Each unit offers two rooms - a drawing and bedroom, along with a decently equipped kitchenette and a bathroom. It's well furnished, carpeted and has air-conditioning in both the rooms(though the A/c looked ancient, it was functional). Carpet is a feature to look at, if you are going to be in Riyadh in the winter months, i.e., from December to March. They also offer a good Wi-Fi throughout the day, at no extra cost. Room service is done weekly once, where they change sheets, vacuum, empty dustbins and clean the bathroom. You get a 20 something litre bubble top of drinking water per week. The kitchenette is equipped with an electric stove top with two hobs, a refrigerator, sink and cupboards. Spartan cutlery or cooking vessels are provided. You may want to bring your own cutlery if you are planning on long stays where cooking is on the agenda. All taps and shower have both hot and cold water running. There are around three convinence stores down the road. A couple of eateries/restaurants as well. There's a laundry store as well in the same building, but it's not by Remaz. They provide a washing machine within the room as well. The staff are very courteous, polite and friendly. There's a lift and a decent lobby in the reception area. No gym or swimming pool. TV is there, but very few options in terms of channels, if you don't get Arabic. Comfortable for a small family. Total bang for buck. Recommended!
