★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been following the Lamb Chef for the past year or more... a few months ago my husband and I drove to the obhur location just to find out that it was for singles only...
a couple of nights ago my husband suggested we go to the location in Safa neighborhood. By the time we got there, and found parking ( very small parking lot shared by the businesses around) it was Salat time so we sat there for over half an hour waiting to put our order in. We ordered the grilled lamb and the madfoun.
I was disappointed as the grilled lamb was a little dry and the cuts were small... mostly bones... the rice which we had to wait for was ok, nothing special. The madfoun was not what we expected. It was more like lamb stew... cooked in spices...
The seating was not special either, the light bulb was barely lit so we couldn’t draw the privacy curtain cuz it would make out table very dark... if u leave it open, you are in very close proximity to the other customers...
overall, it doesn’t live up to the hype. Taste wise, I much prefer the lamb at Al Saddah restaurant as well as their rice.
I gave it an extra star for the nice waiter that served us!!!
Surely won’t be going back or recommend it and I don’t think I’ll need to keep following it on Instagram.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expensive for the quality. Restaurant hygiene is poor. The meat and the rice tasted really good but nothing to rave about. Probably will not visit again. Nothing special. You pay a premium price for a filthy dining area. Unacceptable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So who doesn't love BBQ lamb! There are times, I am sure, when we all crave it! But if you only could taste it at this place! The cooking is great, I mean how hard is it to BBQ a lamb.. but WHERE IS THE BEEF! you are paying, a lot I must say, for a plate of rice and bones! For God sake why is it so! Is the lamb so expensive or do they feed it grass from Switzerland to be soo scarse in my order! You feel like you are ordering take out bones for your dog! As for the seating area, I mean for the price I am paying It would be nice if I dont feel I am at traditional bukharo restaurant! I don't get what I am paying for.. seriously! Just buy the freaking lamb and BBQ it yourself!
