★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small airport as compared to the high volume of passengers. Free wifi is available for 1 hour only per day which is only available if mobile phone roaming is on. If connectimg time is long, it is highly recommended to buy first class lounge access for free unlimited wifi, free food and easy access to electronic charging ports.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the modern updated version of airport that Jeddah really needs! Its huge and have no doubts be able to compete as one of the worlds best titles. Everything about this place seems well thought. Love it when passengers are no longer have to queue for the buses to boarding the plane. As for now (at this review date, I give it 5 stars).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Atkins was appointed in 2011 as lead designer for the expansion of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
The 36-month project involves designing a new 640,000 m² passenger terminal and associated buildings to increase the airport’s capacity to 30 million passengers each year.
In addition to lead design activities, we are undertaking the architectural, special airport systems (SAS) and information and communication technology (ICT) design for all aspects of the terminal building, including an advanced baggage handling system, departure gates and airway bridges, a 56-room hotel for transit passengers, four first class lounges and a business lounge and duty-free shops and commercial centres.
The airport expansion is needed as Saudi Arabia seeks to meet demand from religious tourism to the holy city of Mecca. Approximately 2.5 million people visit Mecca during the Hajj period alone, and this is projected to rise to 4 million in the next few years.

Arrival at new airport of Jeddah .
Omg the new terminal is sooooo hugeee
I guess we arrived at the last gate of the terminal and we walk 25 mins to reach exit ??so if u r traveling with kids or elders keep that in mind ask for wheel chair for elders .
As this was the first time we experienced the new terminal so missed some details saw the train moving but not sure about the availability to passengers.
The new terminal is really beautiful,although still it’s not 100% done n operational but ❤️?
The most talked AQUARIUM is a sight to watch ?❤️❤️
Tried to capture my best but as we were soooo dead tired of walking ?may be missed some good clicks ?
