محمد القزوینی نے اپنی کتاب عجائب المخلوقات میں وضاحت کی ہے ۔ یہ پہاڑ مکہ مکرمہ میں منی کے قریب ہے، لوگ کی زیارت کا بھی اشتیاق رکھتے ہی۔ اسی پرحضرت اسماعیل علیہ السلام کے بدل میں دنبہ اتاراگیا۔ حدیث شریف میں ہے حضورصلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم نے عرفات کا سفر اس وقت شروع فرمایا، جب کوہ ثبیر کی چوٹی دھوپ سے چمک اٹھی تھی۔ جن مورخین نے کوہ ثبیر کو مزدلفہ میں بتایا ہے وہ تحقیق کے خلاف ہے .عرفات شریف کو جاتے وقت بائیں جانب واقع ہے۔ ابوبکر نقاش فرماتے ہیں اس پہاڑی بھی دعا قبول ہوتی ہے. حضور صلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم نے اعلان نبوت سے قبل اس پہاڑ پر بھی عبارت فرمائی. سیده عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہا کا درود مسعود ثابت ہے۔ جہاں سيده عائشہ نے قیام فرمایا اس پتھر کو صخره عائشہ کے نام سے یاد کیا جاتاہے۔
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے حضور پر نور صلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم نے فرمایا جب اللہ تعالی نے پہاڑ پرتجلی فرمایا تو اس کے چھے ٹکڑے ہو گئے تین مدینہ منورہ میں جا پڑے جن کے نام یہ ہیں۔ احد، ورقان، رضوٰی اور تین مکہ مکرمہ میں گرے جن کے نام یہ ہی: حرا، ثبیر، ثور۔۔۔ حوالہ کتاب بلد الامین، ص ۲۱۴، ۲۱۵

Muhammad al-Qazwini has explained in his book Ajaib al-Mukhloqat. This mountain is close to Mani in Makkah, and people are eager to visit it. According to a hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) started his journey to Arafat when the top of Mount Thabeer shone with sunshine. Historians who have described Mount Sabir in Muzdalifah are opposed to the investigation. Abu Bakr Naqash says that this hill also accepts prayers. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) also spoke on this mountain before the proclamation of Prophethood. Durood Masood of Ayesha Siddiqah has been proven. The stone where Ayesha stayed is remembered as the rock Ayesha.
It is narrated on the authority of Anas bin Malik that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: When Allaah appeared on the mountain, it split into six parts and went to Madinah, whose names are Uhud, Warqan, Rizvi and three fell in Makkah, whose names are: Hira, Sabir, Thor ...
