★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am baffled by how phony the school is. They take students in to take their entrance exam and only handpick the people they want, mostly those from within the community. They take students to sit for entrance exams knowing well enough that there aren’t any seats left, all they’re doing is scamming and minting money from parents who come looking for opportunities for their kids while the school gives them false hopes. (With very rude staff at the admissions office) Does the same thing Hala international does. Guess they’re both known for Racial discrimination and being scams.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The school is good and studies are also good. However too many subjects and too much work stress. Teachers are amazing especially Mr. Niyaz. He is very good teacher I like him, but the best teacher is Mr. Talha. He is just like a friend. You ask him anything and he will answer. Best in his subject English.
The school needs good computer lab and other facilities, but overall a good school which is less money making business and more towards studies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A famous high-school basketball player once said, "Winning is everything; the victor is acknowledged and the loser is disavowed".
After studying for 12 years in Al Waha, I can say with certainty that that particular saying has been chiselled into my brain. From an academic point of view, the school is somewhat appropriate, although students in higher grades frequently experience a massive dip in their performance due to poor coaching. As for extra-curricular activities, the school does make an effort to make available some basic ECAs, but a solid system of after-school or long-term activities is not available at all. However, the biggest problem the school faces is a lack of inspiration. Students are passively encouraged to do their best, meaning the outstanding pupils are extolled while the mediocre ones are shunned comeplety. There is no concept of student safety, and a blind eye is often turned towards towards those facing social problems like bullying. The administration is highly unyielding when it comes to suggestions, which is quite sad considering the fact that the students are the fee-payers. It really seems more like a factory churning out humans with a degree and a few soft and hard skills mixed in. Any person who graduates with highly superior technological acumen or something of the sort wil have developed that completely on his own, with no encouragement or support from the school whatsoever.
Perhaps a former teacher put it best when he said that Al-Waha is the "best of the worst schools". However, I really believe that with a little more openness to student suggestions and higher emphasis on personality development the school could go a long way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Academics are fine uptill igcse. Plenty of extra curricular activities as well, although not of the highest standards. Not the greatest of schools if you are looking for holistic development. Sporting activities are scarce and the infrastructure in the boys section is pretty ordinary. Teaching standards are quite okay and the overall environment fosters religious development of students. A lot more work needs to be done when it comes to career counseling of students and a little more input, if taken from students, could prove vital in further enhancing the overall standard of the school.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Studied three years in this school and I must say, enjoyed every bit of it. The teachers are nice and helpful, though a little bit of favoritism is always noticeable. The students in general are amazing. I remember how welcomed I felt on my first day and how the whole class always acted like a family. However, this campus does need a new infrastructure. The play area, in particular, needs refurbishment. AAAND the school should definitely work to make a proper sports committee as well!
