حيث الطبيعه الخلابه وتقع في شمال منطقه عسير جنوب غرب المملكه وبالاخص علي سلاسل جبال الحجاز وتطل علي سهل تهامه وتمتاز بالمناخ المعتدل صيفأ والبارد شتاء وكثافة الغطاء النباتي وتعتبر نوعأ ما قريبه لمدينه الطائف حيث تبعد ٣٨٠ ك وعن مدينه أبها ١٧٠ك ومن أشهر اوديتها وادي ترج وكذالك وادي يبة وتشتهر بالضباب الكثيف وحبات البرد في فصل الشتاء أشهر قبائلها بني شهر وتعتبر المركز الرئيسي لقبائل رجال الحجر وتحتوي المحافظه على العديد من الخدمات الحكوميه

It is characterized by a moderate climate in summer and cold in winter and dense vegetation cover. It is somewhat close to the city of Taif, where it is 380 km away from the city of Abha 170 km, and its most famous valley is Wadi Tarj, as well as Wadi Tarj Yeba is famous for its thick fog and hail in the winter, the most famous of its tribes, Bani Shahr.
