★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love Balad! The shop owners are really nice and helpful. They make you feel welcomed whether you are a Saudi or a foreigner. It is the place I will miss the most when I leave Saudia Arabia for good. Lots of various nationalities and goods to buy. It is the most authentic part of Jeddah and I always have fun by myself or with a group. If you are a tourist make sure to go to Balad it is a World Heritage site and has a lot of character. I have been to Balad at least a hundred times and it NEVER gets old.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here a lot of times during pre-pandemic but it's a different story when it's hit by Covid19 and presently on a Ramadan season. Strict public decency policy is observed here. Tawakkalna is mandatory before entering this commercial center. And I could say it has lot of changes in it's internal business. And I am highly recommending it to any nationals visiting or residing in the kingdom.
