Best place in the city to have a relaxing drink and take in the views of Riyadh. Very friendly service and a good selection of food available too. Not too noisy and tables are spread out enough to give customers privacy.

The High Tea at the Globe This was the first time we've ever been to The Globe. I must say, it was quite an experience to the senses. We had the high tea as a group, from 3 to 6 pm. The food was great; it was delicious and satisfying, especially the tuna poké with rice (served in a coconut shell!), the kibbeh and the endless choices of sweets to accompany your tea and/or coffee. Plus, the presentation was impeccable; all the little sweets and confectioneries were pleasing to the eyes. We had a kid with us and he enjoyed the sweets so much, it was the first time we've seen him eat with gusto. The view from up there was amazing. At the top of Faisaliyah Tower, you can see quite the expanse of Riyadh. I’ve seen some familiar landmarks: the Kingdom Tower, Panorama Mall, Olaya Park, and a few other places which names escape my mind at the moment. After we’ve eaten, we sampled their coffee and tea. I had a cappuccino and a TWG English Breakfast Tea. Both were excellent but I have to say, I'm a bit partial to the tea. It was the finest I’ve ever had. All of these, plus the prompt and excellent service, add up to quite a marvellous experience, one I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to other people. Bring your friends and family; you won’t regret it. PS: If you’re a smoker, there’s an upstairs lounge where, for an additional fee, you can smoke a cigar and enjoy a non-alcoholic drink.

I have mixed feelings for this restaurant, and would rate each aspect of it as the following: Food: huge disappointment: 1 Star View 5 stars Ambience 5 stars Staff attitude 5 stars Service for an expensive restaurant: 3 stars (they don’t even offer wet towels at arrival for example). Don’t forget to stop by the ‘experience’ level when coming down the restaurant thru the elevator, it’s an open terrace offering beautiful view of the city.

The view is spectacularly beautiful. The way the restaurant is setup is absolutely worth the experience. The booking process is good, However they made me come to the hotel to pay in advance for the cake and flowers setup for our anniversary. They don’t take visas or have online portal to pay which was annoying. The food was below average or bad in other words. The main chef wasn’t there as I heard and that could be the reason. Risotto was really bad to me and the lobster didn’t seem to be fresh to me. Soup (truffle) wasn’t also good and I hated the precious pear juice. The service was good overall and the staff was really nice. Also there is a minimum charge to reserve a table. I gave the three stars ⭐️ for the experience and the view which if the food was any better, this place deserves 7 stars.

We planned a week ago but due to fog, I rescheduled my booking. We wanted to see sunset while in the globe. We booked for high tea and it ends at 6pm. There was good variety of sweets and snacks. I tried Latte and it was good. Sushi was just ok. Sweets were tasty. Kids enjoyed fruit & marshmallows on the stick and dipping it in the chocolate. I enjoyed the environment. Service was good too.

It has been a terrible experience. Would not recommend to eat there. Cold and very SWEET onion soup, mushroom truffle soup was acceptable. Beef cheeks terrible and old. Lobster risotto… sour. Not a good start to my Riyadh trip.

The Globe is advertised (ONLINE) as being part of Mandarin Oriental chain of hotels but it appears to be actually part of Faisaliah Hotel, Riyadh and if there is a connection between the two then it is not confirmed by hotel staff and also not visible in branding anywhere across the building. Anyhow, we went for afternoon tea and found it to be a nice enough experience. The food is all vegetarian and well presented. The 360 views are stunning and one can see the architectural contrast across the city centre (for those interested in that sort of thing). Afternoon tea is well presented and staff are very well trained on how to give a good customer experience. I would definitely go back for the experience and the views and not so much for the food.
