The Battle of Uhud is a battle that took place between Muslims and the Quraish tribe on the seventh Saturday of the month of Shawwal in the third year of migration. The Muslim army was led by the Messenger of Islam Muhammad ﷺ, and the Quraish tribe was led by Abu Sufyan ibn Harb. The Uhud Battle is the second major conquest undertaken by Muslims, as It took place one year after the Battle of Badr. The battle was named after Mount Uhud near Medina.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is one of the most prominent landmarks as far as history of Islam is concerned in which I learned 2 important lessons - first, do not rejoice yet when you are onset of victory and second, do always follow the leader even if you feel you are right.
It is where the battle between the Muslim and Quraish took place in which the Muslims did not manage to defeat their enemy. It is known as the Battle of Uhud.
The Battle of Uhud was the second military encounter between the Quraish and the Muslims and the first one in which the latter were on the defensive side.
Currently, the mountain of Uhud is frequently visited by most people may it be local or tourists to make them reflect how this place impacted the history in Islam. Below the mountain of Uhud situated a grave where the Sahabas were buried.
Going here made me feel sad realizing how would it be being with the Sahabas during their time battling against conquestors and doing their sacrifices on the sake of Allah (swt). It made me grateful at the same time realizing how the Sahabas were very tough in fighting to defend Islam and how they really love the prophet Mohammed (saw).
