يقول الشاعر / عنترة بن شدّاد العبسي كأن السرايا بين ((قو)) وقارةٍعصائب طير ينحنين لمشـرب
ويقول الشاعر / أمرؤ القيس سما لك شوق بعدما كـان أقصـرا.... وحلّت سليماً بطن ((قو)) فعرعرا
ويقول الشاعر / الحطيئة
إلى العير تَحْدي بين ((قو)) وضارجٍ....كما زال في الصبح الأشاء الحوامـل
