★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice playground. Possibly amongst the few playgrounds in KAUST campus on a grass patch rather than a sand pit. The playground has some high slides, monkey bars, a mini rock wall, chain ladder, a bridge and a few low slides. It faces the island recreation centre and is very convienient if you live in the mansions in the island area. The playground is on a large field where you can run around with children. There is a mosque nearby and during the evenings it gets very picturesque. There is a gazebo with benches. A few metres away from the playground there are two play cars on springs. The playground is quite a distance away from the road so it’s pretty safe for kids to run around.
