Mura Bustan Compounds - Al Bawadi District

Great place to live. The compound is past its prime, up until 2018/19 the place was packed. But right around that time period many expats moved back to their home countries after being laid off due to a shortage in jobs for the Saudis. Back in its day, we had all sorts of events throughout the year, facilities were well maintained, and all the workers and management were very helpful and overall sweet people. Other competitors like sharbatley, and many more were alot grander and had nicer, more updated facilities. But the thing about Mura bustan was that it was cozy. It had a sense of calm and ease and alot of the villas and smaller units were conjoined which meant that neighbors had to stay quiet at late night because they didnt wanna disturb each other. Being so close to other units and having the pathways throughout the compound being quite narrow, you would run into alot of friendly conversations with other tenants when you would go out for a run, or even just stop by the little minimarket for a jug of milk. This created a sense of community. There was also coffee mornings for all the moms and they could all catch up and talk over some breakfast and well...coffee, A daily bus that was scheduled for shopping mall visits, grocery stores and occassionally we would have field trips to ranches or amusement parks, And as i stated earlier, we would have events throughout the year like christmas parties, halloween, and easter. Facilities- 6 swimming pools, a gym, jacuzzi, basketball court, soccer court, 4 tennis courts, squash court, multiple playground areas, recreational centre, library, and minimarket. Final verdict: The place is no longer what it used to be...people leaving, staff leaving, and the overall synergy has died down quite a bit. Its still a nice place to live and we do have a good amount of security guarding the area. (Back in the day we had millitary vehicles with mounted turrets) so you should be safe. Last time i checked, Rent is anywhere from 100k to 200k riyals a year. (25k to 50k $). God bless.

Best place ever. No question. It is clean, water deliveries, restaurant, 6 SWIMMING POOLS muiltiple playgrounds, tennis courts, and basketball courts, and even a soccer court. It has air hockey, foosball, billiard, a gym, a play area, everybody is friendly, and I have lived there for 8 years and never had a single problem with it. The cars even move slow enough for it to be safe to play on the streets.

Some years ago this used to be a nice compound, but the administration has changed, and now there is nothing. It was a nice place with greenery, there were gatherings, it used to be a very nice place for families, but unfortunately all of this has disappeared and now there is nothing to do and no reason to pay compound facilities that does not exist anymore. There is not even a restaurant! Some houses are very bad, the gym is a disaster, the kids playgrounds are small and old, the squash court is closed, the saloon is closed. The security walls doesn' t exist anymore. Many expats came back to their country. The rest are in other compounds like arabian homes or sharbatly where you feel like a real compound. Even you can find small compounds of 40 houses with only a pool, and it worth it. The Mura Bustan web site shows amazing professional pictures, but just go check by yourself. Beside the trees, there is nothing to do.

Best compound ever it’s full of nature it’s beautiful it’s clean there is a lot to do there there is a mini market a basketball court four tennis squash court courts a football court and six pools. There is also a gym ping pong billiards air hockey foosball six playgrounds and a club house and is an overall great place. It’s a shame our former manager mr shokry left and the restaurant closed down but other then that it’s amazing

I like it, maybe houses are old but it's a very homey place. I love the pools, to swimm or just for fun. Although during 2020 and 2021 installations maintenance and quality are decreasing. No restaurant, no squash court, and lately not even market.

Beautiful Compound and Gated Community in Jeddah. Recreation Center and Swimming pool is nice.

In these times, living with family, really difficult... Play grounds are old and broken, recreation area has nothing for children... But nature, gardens are beautiful. Nowadays there are lots of foreign workers so we don't feel safe and relax anymore...
