هي بيوت الله تعالى على الأرض،
وهي أحبّ الأماكن والمواضع إليه سبحانه، فيها يذكر اسمه،
وفيها يسبّح بحمده،
وفيها يعبد المسلمون ربّهم فينصبون أقدامهم ويتراصون صفوفًا لا خلل فيها أو اعوجاج؛
فتحلّ عليهم السّكينة من ربّ العالمين، وتحفّهم الملائكة بأجنحتها،
ويفاخر الله تعالى بهم ملائكته.
والمساجد هي الأماكن التي يجتمع فيها المسلمون من أجل تدارس العلم الشّرعي، وهي الأماكن التي كانت تجتمع فيها الوفود، وهي مقرّ لإرسال البعوث وتجهيز الجيوش والرّايات، وهي الأماكن التي يبذل فيها المال ليصرف في مصارفه الشّرعيّة على الفقراء والمساكين وغيرهم. وقد أمر ديننا الإسلامي باحترام المساجد لأنّها بيوت الله تعالى، فحثّ المسلمين على أخذ زينتهم عند الذّهاب إليها والتّطيب، كما نهى عن رفع الصّوت فيها واللّهو والخلاف، فهي مكان للذّكر والصّلاة والتّسبيح.

Mosques are the places where Muslims gather to study forensic science, the places where delegations met, and they are a place to send scholarships and equip armies and banners, and places where money is spent to spend in its legal banks on the poor, needy and others. Our Islamic religion has commanded respect for the mosques because they are the homes of God Almighty, so he urged Muslims to take their adornment when going to it and dyeing it, as he forbade raising the voice in it, distraction and disagreement, as it is a place of remembrance, prayer and praise.
