★ ★ ★ ★ ★ هو الإمام الكبير أبو الحسين مسلم بن الحجاج بن مسلم بن الورد بن كوشاذ، القشيري، النيسابوري، ولد سنة ٢٠٦ للهجرة، وتوفي سنة ٢٦١ للهجرة، سمع الحديث في بلده، ثم رحل في طلب الحديث سنة ٢١٨ للهجرة، وأمعن، حتى سمع نحو ٣٠٠ ألف حديث، وصنف كتابه "الصحيح" المشهور، وصنف غيره أيضا، منها "التمييز" و"الطبقات" و"الأسماء والكنى"، رحمه الله.
 He is the great imam Abu Al-Hussein Muslim bin Al-Hajjaj bin Muslim bin Al-Ward bin Kushad, Al-Qushari, Al-Nisaburi, born in the year 206 AH, and died in the year 261 AH, he heard the hadith in his country, then he left to seek the hadith in the year 218 AH, and he thought about, until he heard about 300 thousand A hadith, and his well-known book “Al-Sahih” was classified, and others were classified as well, including “Al-Tamayyis”, “At-Tabaq” and “Names and Nicknames”, may God have mercy on him.
