هو سماك بن خرشة ( المتوفي سنة 12 هـ ) صحابي من الأنصار من بني ساعدة من الخزرج ، شــهد مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم , غزوات بدر و أحد و خيبر و حنين ، ثم شهد حروب الردة ، وقُتل في معركة اليمامة ، وكان من شجعان المسلمين ، وكانت له عصابة حمراء يرتديها تُميّزه في المعارك .
هذا المســــجد يحمل أسمه رضي الله عنه ...
المسجد نضيف جداً والفرشة جديدة تم فرشها العام الماضي تحديداً في شهر شعبان 1437هـ ...
