He said: If the thing is proven to us on behalf of Ali, we will not amend it to anyone else. The question of the senior Companions to him and their reference to his fatwas and statements regarding the many citizens and dilemmas issues is well known. His asceticism (may God be pleased with him): As for his asceticism, it is one of the well-known matters that he shared in private and public knowledge. Umm Uthman, the mother of a son, may God be pleased with him, came to him and had a carnation in his hands draped in the room and said: O Commander of the Faithful! Give my daughter this pink necklace! He said so, and he clicked with his hands. And he said: «Show me a good dirham, for this is the money of the Muslims. One day, he came out with his sword and said: “Whoever buys this sword from me, if I had the price of a bandage, I would not sell it.” [3] His fight over the interpretation of the Qur’an (may God be pleased with him): One of its merits is that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, century of his fight, may God be pleased with him, over the interpretation of the Qur’an, by fighting it, peace and blessings be upon him, for his demise.
