Mobark Plaza Hotel - Ash Shubaikah

Its a three star from me. 15 min walk from the haram. With people traffic. It can be a long journey for some if they wish to return back to the hotel after the Salah. it may be a 7 min without traffic but it can reach higher numbers with. Also some areas get barricaded in order to control the flow of people so you may have to walk even longer distances.

I went there to meet a friend staying there. Although the main enterance was fine but the corridors gave off a haunted feeling. Cleanliness was not up to the mark. All floors are carpeted but because of lack of claning it felt damp and smelly. The place was not very well lit

Where do i start with this place, if i could i would rate it no stars, I don't understand how this hotel has a 4 star rating, it is absolutely disgusting, a bathroom which isn't even a proper bathroom with a broken toilet which had to be fixed continuously as it would not flush. A room with beds that are about to break, one actually broke as one of my family members had sat down on it and had to get staff to change two of the beds one that was going to evetually break. Staff are smoking in the corridor knowing there are kids around, after warning them they continue to smoke. Room service does not even exist in this hotel, they do not change the beddings they do not clean the room, they ask us to put the bin outside the room for them to clean it. Also there are hardly any sockets to charge phones or etc. One behind the bed which we had to get staff to show us and one which is mainly for the tv but to use it we had to take out the tv's plug. In another room of ours we luckily had an extra socket near the entance but the socket was actually sickening as u can see in one of the images below. AC was just about working after having it fixed by one of the electricians on the first day we had arrived. I really do not understand how this place is even a hotel, its a junkyard?? Would seriously NOT recommend this place to anyone. And to add to it, its a good 15 minute walk from the hotel to the Haram Sharif and with some of the gates that close due to the work going on its an extra 10 minutes, so families with young children think before u book this hotel.

Hello everyone The situation of this hotel is extremely bad. Everything from the reception, food buffet, room cleanliness and room facilities. The hotel corridor smells really bad because the guests cook in their room. To top it all off we found insects on our beds. The room toilets are from the 1950s and are teribbliy maintained. This hotel needs refurbishment all over again. If you're looking to stay in this hotel, I urge you to re-think your options. Unfortuntely we weren't able to relocate to another hotel or we wouldn't have stayed here.

The common problem of hotel is that they have short space. Rooms are small and inadequate. WiFi is not up to the mark. Service is average. Probably the same ratings for all the hotels in this region. One good thing is that the place is near to haram so that you can easily go there. Recommended for elderly person.

Dirty rooms, dirty washrooms and poor service

4 plus star hotel with amazing cozy rooms. Excellent room service. Breakfast Buffet was very fulfilling. All utilities and facilities are within 100 meters. Distance from haram is around 700 meters. Cost effective. Will love to check in this hotel again.
