اختلف أهل العلم في حكم التَّسَوُّل في المساجد؟ فذهب المالكية ومن وافقهم إلى تحريم السؤال، واستدلوا على ذلك بنهيه صلى الله عليه وسلم عن إنشاد الضوال في المسجد، ويلحق به ما في معناه من البيوع، والشراء، والإجارة ونحوها، وكراهة رفع الصوت في المساجد بالعلم، وغيره. وذهب آخرون إلى الكراهة وهم الشافعية، واستدلوا بحديث عبد الله بن أبي بكر الصديق قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلـم: «هَلْ مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ أَطْعَمَ الْيَوْمَ مِسْكِينًا؟» فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: دَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَإِذَا بِسَائِلٍ، فَوَجَدتُّ كِسْرَةَ خُبْزٍ فِي يَدِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، فَأَخَذْتُهَا مِنْهُ فَدَفَعْتُهَا إِلَيْهِ. سُئل شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية رحمه الله عن هذه المسألة؟ فأجاب بما نصه: «أصل السؤال محرم في المسجد وخارج المسجد إلا لضرورة، فإن كان به ضرورة وسأل في المسجد، ولم يؤذ أحدًا بتخطيه رقاب الناس، ولا بغير تخطيه، ولم يكذب فيما يرويه، ويذكر من حاله، ولم يجهر جهرًا يضر الناس، مثل أن يسأل والخطيب يخطب، أو هم يسمعون علمًا يشغلهم به.. ونحو ذلك. جاز والله أعلم

Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may God have mercy on him, was asked about this issue? He replied with what he read: “The origin of the question is forbidden in the mosque and outside the mosque except in cases of necessity. If it is necessary, he asks in the mosque, and he does not harm anyone by stepping over the necks of people, nor without overcoming him, and he does not lie about what he tells, and he mentions of his condition, and he did not loudly harm people, such as To ask and the preacher deliver a sermon, or they hear a science that occupies them with it .. and so on.
