Nimra mosque is located next to Mount Arafat. Part of the mosque is actually within the borders of Mount Arafat. The distance from Nimra Mosque to Mina is 10kms.
Mosque capacity
The Ministry of Hajj has implemented an expansion project for this Mosque, increasing its area to 124,000 square meters and making part of it into two-stories. The Mosque's capacity has increased to 300,000 pilgrims. After expansion, part of the Mosque exceeded beyond the boundary of Arafat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very big mosque located in Arafat plain and is open during Hajj pilgrimage on the 9th of Zilhijjah, every year. On 9th Zilhijjah, pilgrims listen to the Hajj sermon (Hajj Khutba) being delivered in this mosque and then offer Zohar and Asar prayers together. It is open only on this day and is totally full, as everyone prefers to get a chance for this mosque. It has sections for both the genders. Towards its Imam side, one of the Arafat boundary also ends.
