أثنى الله سبحانه على من يعمر مساجده فقال:
إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وأقام الصلاة وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ فَعَسَى أُولَئِكَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ. {التوبة:18}
 .
Allah praised those who build his mosques and said:
But he will pray the mosques of Allah, who believes in Allah and the other day, and has established the prayer, and the zakaah has come, and he is not afraid of God, but you are not the first. {Repentance: 18}
