The Saudi Special Emergency Forces is one of the main important branches under the Presidency of State Security. The emergency forces are used in maintaining order, such as dispersing demonstrations, rescuing hostages and kidnappers, resisting sit-ins, and combating various types of terrorism and sabotage that endanger public safety. The Special Emergency Forces also carry out any other tasks assigned to them, such as supporting forces Police in various regions of the Kingdom when necessary. It contributes, along with other paramilitary forces, to maintaining order, especially during the Hajj season.
