Its origins: Based on the approval of the Supreme Advisory Council of the University in its second session held on 07/28/1383 AH and based on the recommendation of the committee emanating from the Council, which assessed the university’s position towards students who come from outside the Kingdom, especially from countries where Islamic education was not possible with its severe need for it . So I decided the following: - A preparatory department is established with two branches: 1) A one-year division for teaching Arabic. 2) A three-year division to provide the student with Islamic and Arabic information that qualifies him to join the secondary institute, and the university administration appends the student to the appropriate year for his level, when necessary, and the intermediate institute was established in the year 1386 AH and the number of its students was (49) students. The number of nationalities enrolled reached about (88) Qataris. His goals: Providing students who enroll with an adequate amount of Islamic, Arabic and social sciences, English language and computer, and working to inculcate the correct belief in their souls and achieve balanced and integrated growth, which includes spiritual, physical, mental, social and moral education. Qualifies the student to join the secondary institute, and be its tributary. His tasks: Receiving its students from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the children of the Islamic world, who have obtained a certificate of completion of primary school or its equivalent to receive Sharia, Arabic and social sciences, English language sciences and mathematics, and the institute works to educate its students in an Islamic education based on sound belief, correct worship, and good manners, Taking care of them, providing them with reassurance and stability, directing their activities, developing their Islamic character, talents and mental and scientific faculties, and preparing them for the appropriate preparation that qualifies them to enroll in the secondary stage.
