ILAND Hotel - Al Rawdhah

The hotel has a super location directly by Sea. The sea view from the room is fantastic. The room is super clean. Resturant staff are really nice and the food is really delicious. The night shift chef comes to our table and answer our question about his delicious dishes. The receptionist was really helpful to set the WIFI connection to my Mac. Overall, this is the best experience which I have ever had in Umluj and definitely if you come back Isa to ILand hotel ans strongly recommend it to friends and family members. Thanks for everyone in iLand hotel who made our (6 families — 24 persons together) stay pleasant especially in such hard COVID 19 time

We checked in ILAND hotel on Thursday and checked out on Saturday evening (3:30 pm). We (I and my wife) had a wonderful time in Umluj. Speaking about the Hotel, I will review on 5 parameters: (1) Location - 5 ⭐ POSITIVES: Simply perfect. The hotel has a coffee shop, pastry shop nearby, grocery store (1 min walk), pharmacy (6 mins walk), and an Indian food restaurant (5 mins drive). (2) Room ambiance and facilities - 4 ⭐ POSITIVES: The sea view room is simply amazing! The room is big and good for a small family. It has monstrous glass windows. Tip# During the night, when you turn on the light, people walking on the seaside walkway, can see you, so please use the curtains if you need privacy. NEGATIVES: The washroom is much smaller than a regular size you would generally expect in a good hotel. The complimentary tea (black and green), coffee, sugar, milk were missing. And the least they can do is provide a 2 liter a day water bottle instead of 200 ml x2 bottles. The wifi doesn't seem to work in our room. (3) Hospitality and access - 2.5 ⭐ POSITIVES - The Manager was cooperative on WhatsApp (Arabic) and gave me a booking due to last-minute booking cancellation. NEGATIVES - There is a huge language barrier from the moment you start contacting the hotel. Firstly, the hotel is not listed on any hotel marketplace (Booking.com, Hotel.com, or even Gathern) or doesn't have a website. Secondly, even though it has a phone number (thank God!), the gentleman replied after 1 day, all communication was in Arabic. Thank God my Google keyboard has Arabic translation inbuilt in it. The cleaners/bellboys are Filipinos, but for some despite me speaking in English to them, they all replied in Arabic (sometimes that gets frustrating!!!). The room doesn't come with breakfast, which is odd considering that you are paying SAR 550/Room for a hotel in a village (although the ambiance was good to somewhere great!). (4) Restaurant - 5++ ⭐ POSITIVES - The food is amazing. The ambiance is nothing short of a fancy Lebanese restaurant in Riyadh. The restaurant manager (Mr. Saeed) thankfully spoke English and took exceptional care of us. The food (Chicken Ranch Pizza) is top class. Try Chicken kebab was awesome, so was the Lemon mint juice. We loved the food. The ambiance was very up-market, fancy, and welcoming. Enjoyed every second there. Wait, did I tell you that there are family-size tables with great comfort spacing, that is sea viewing... During the ala carte breakfast, the omelet (masala) was top class, so was the chicken biryani we had during lunch. NEGATIVES - Except for Mr. Saeed, all spoke Arabic including Filipinos, Bengalis, etc., even though we spoke in English (to Filipinos) / Hindi to Bengalis. (5) Other facilities - 2 ⭐ POSITIVES - None. NEGATIVES - The hotel doesn't provide any more information about Boat tour services or doesn't have any connections with taxis. So, you are basically on your own. There are no taxis available there. Tip# The moment you reach Jumluj and you don't have a car, please download KAIIAN (Local version of Uber). Btw there are only 1 or 2 cars (Uber/Careem) that serve this region. Therefore, I would give a 4 ⭐ considering the fantastic food and awesome sea view room. However, Jumluj is a beautiful place to stay for a weekend if you are tired of city life's hustle and bustle!

Decent location, polite staff and yummy breakfast. The AC started leaking all over the bed, they promised to send someone to fix it and they never did. We were not able to sleep as they had demolition going on for two days in a row.

The location is quite ok with sea view. The room is clean Restaurant on top floor serving delicious foods. There is wifi but the connection speed is quite slow. Overall We enjoy our time staying here and will choose thia hotel again in future.

Great price, good locations...Nice view directly to the Sea..room was clean and spacious...but staff/cashier only speak arabic..Luckily there are lots of indonesian staff so they can help us translated from english to arabic ? Also too much noises from outside the room, like banging sounds or something loud, people voice, along the night ?

I went hotel after 5hr travelling from Jedda and I came to know hotel is not available to public due to some officials arrival. Now I just reach Yanbu along with family because all hotels in umluj booked by officials. Fair enough if hotel is booked by officials at least I should be Informed well in time as I had confirmed booking almost 3 weeks ago.

Nice restaurant with nice terrace in the penthouse. Kitchen is really tasty, specially Turkey food. The only problem is you must wait a lot
