★ ★ ★ ★ ★ هيئة الهلال الأحمر السعودي (بالإنجليزية: Saudi Red Crescent Authority) هي جمعية الإسعاف الخيري الأولى لتقديم الخدمة الطبية الاسعافية بالمملكة العربية السعودية. تأسست سنة 1353 هـ. أُنشئت جمعية الهلال الأحمر في عهد الملك عبدالعزيز عام 1345هـ تحت اسم جمعية الإسعاف الخيري، وقامت بتوفير كافة الأسعافات الأولية وسيارات الأسعاف لخدمة الحجاج والمصابين في حوادث المرور، وفي عام 1383هـ أمر الملك عبدالعزيز آل سعود من خلال المرسوم الملكي الذي يحمل رقم م/14 وبتاريخ 12 ربيع الثاني 1386هـ بتحويلها إلى مؤسسة عامة أسمها جمعية الهلال الأحمر السعودية، وكانت المهام الرئيسية لجمعية الهلال الأحمر السعودي تقديم الخدمات الصحية الطبية لحجاج بيت الله الحرام ورعايتهم صحياً بالتعاون مع الإدارات المختصة، وتقدم جمعية الهلال الأحمر خدماتها للحجاج من خلال 109 مراكز إسعافية، وقد انتشرت في مواقع استراتيجية في أماكن تواجد الحجاج، والتي تتطلب توفر الخدمات الطبية والإسعافية في أماكن عبور الحجاج وزوار المسجد النبوي الشريف في كل من مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة، فعلى سبيل المثال خلال موسم حج عام 1418هـ بلغت الخدمات الإسعافية 17,515 خدمة، منها 13,803 حالات مرضى تم تقديم الخدمة لهم، ونقلوا إلى المستشفيات والمستوصفات والمراكز الصحية، ومنها 3,14 حالة تم إسعافها في الموقع، و568 حالة قامت بمراجعة مراكز إسعاف الجمعية لتلقي الإسعافات الأولية دون الحاجة إلى النقل للمستشفيات
 The Saudi Red Crescent Authority is the first charitable aid society to provide emergency medical service in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was established in the year 1353 AH. The Red Crescent Society was established during the reign of King Abdulaziz in 1345 AH under the name of the Charitable Ambulance Society, and it provided all first aid and ambulances to serve pilgrims and those injured in traffic accidents, and in 1383 AH, King Abdulaziz Al Saud ordered through the royal decree that bears the number M / 14 dated 12 Rabi` al-Thani 1386 AH, by converting it into a public institution called the Saudi Red Crescent Society, and the main tasks of the Saudi Red Crescent Society were to provide medical health services to pilgrims in the House of God and care for them in cooperation with the competent departments. Strategic locations in the locations of pilgrims, which require the availability of medical and emergency services at the places of transit for pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque in both Makkah and Madinah, for example during the Hajj season in 1418 AH, ambulance services amounted to 17,515 services, of which 13,803 cases of patients were provided.
