★ ★ ★ ★ ★ في العام 1353هـ ولدت فكرة إنشاء جمعية الإسعاف الخيري بالمملكة، كأولِ تنظيمٍ حكومي لتقديم الخدمة الطبية الاسعافية بالمملكة، ومنذ ذلك التاريخ وحتى هذا اليوم والخدمات الطبية الاسعافية الطارئة تتنقل خلال مراحل التطور والبناء التي واكبت النهضة التي تشهدها المملكة في كافة جوانبها الصحية والتعليمية.
تقوم الهيئة بتقديم الخدمات الطبية الإسعافية الطارئة والسريعة بكفاءة وفاعلية للمواطنين والمقيمين في المملكة في الظروف العادية والكوارث والإسهام في رفع مستوى الوعي الصحي. وتشارك الهيئة في اعمال الإغاثة داخل المملكة وخارجها. وتقدم الهيئة خدماتها بما يتفق مع القيم والتعاليم الإسلامية والاصول المهنية ونظامها الأساسي، وتحرص على ابراز دورها الإنساني وتوطيد العلاقة مع الجمهور والجهات الحكومية والاهلية ذات العلاقة بنشاط الهيئة محليا وعالميا. وكما تهتم الهيئة بالحفاظ على منسوبيها بتدريبهم وتأهيلهم وتحفيزهم
 In the year 1353 AH, the idea of establishing the Charitable Ambulance Society was born in the Kingdom, as the first governmental organization to provide emergency medical service in the Kingdom, and from that date to this day, emergency medical services move through the stages of development and construction that have accompanied the renaissance in the Kingdom in all its health and educational aspects.
The authority provides emergency and prompt medical services efficiently and effectively to citizens and residents in the Kingdom in normal circumstances and disasters, and to contribute to raising the level of health awareness. The authority participates in relief work inside and outside the Kingdom. The authority provides its services in accordance with Islamic values and teachings, professional principles and its statute, and is keen to highlight its humanitarian role and consolidate the relationship with the public and governmental and private agencies related to the authority’s activities locally and internationally. The authority is also concerned with preserving its employees by training, qualifying and motivating them
