★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ثانوية حائل للبنين .. هي أول ثانوية بحائل ، تأسست عام ١٩٥٩ (١٣٧٨هـ) بعد تخريج أول دفعة من طلاب الكفائة المتوسطة لأول متوسطة بحائل ( المتوسطة الأولى ) ، في البداية دمجت مع المتوسطة الأولى وباشرت عملها في نفس مبنى المتوسطة إلى أن تم في منتصف الثمانينات من القرن الهجري الماضي إنشأ مبنى خاص بها لا يزال قائما وتعمل به حتى تاريخه ، وقد مر المبنى عبر تاريخه بعدة مراحل ترميم وتجديد ، ولمدة عقدين ظلت ثانوية حائل الوحيدة بالمنطقة وألتحق بها طلاب من حائل وبعض القرى التي افتتح بها متوسطة خلال تلك الفترة إلى أن توالى مع مستهل القرن الهجري الحالي أي قبل نحو ٤٠ سنة تقريبا افتتاح الثانويات بمدينة حائل وأغلب قراها نتيجة التوسع العمراني والزيادة السكانية المطردة .. وقد درس في ثانوية حائل أغلب أبناء حائل ولهم فيها ذكريات جميلة لم ولن ينساها الرعيل الأول .. كما تعاقب على إداراتها ودرس فيها كادر من خيرة رجال حائل .. أما فضلها على حائل وأهلها فعظيم يصعب وصفه .
