Charity leads to righteousness, as God Almighty says: “You will not receive righteousness until you spend from what you love.” Charity causes the king to pray to its owner every day, so the Messenger says, “There is no day when the servants become nothing but two kings who come down. Charity helps in blessing with money and livelihood, as the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Charity does not diminish from money." There is nothing left for the owner of the money except what he gave in charity. When the Prophet asked Aisha, may God be pleased with her, about the sheep that they slaughtered what was left of it: She said: What is left of it is its shoulder. He said, “It was all but her shoulder.”
