★ ★ ★ ★ ★ تأسس المركز بقرار من حكومات الدول الأعضاء الست في مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية والجمهورية اليمنية، رسميا من خلال الاتفاق والتي وافق عليها مجلس الإدارة في 8 مايو 2013. هذا الاتفاق يعطي السلطة القانونية مركز الاعتماد لتقديم خدمات الاعتماد محددة داخل أراضي جميع الدول الأعضاء في مجالات المعايرة والقياس والاختبار والتفتيش ومنح الشهادات، المعروف بشكل عام باسم تقييم المطابقة. ثبت تحت إشراف هيئة التقييس لدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية ويحكمها مجلس الإدارة الذي يمارس الإشراف المنتظم على شؤون المركز، واللجان الإقليمية التي يتم رسمها من كل عضو من الأعضاء الدول، بما في ذلك الهيئات أصحاب المصلحة.
 The center was established by a decision of the governments of the six member states of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the Republic of Yemen, officially through agreement and approved by the Board of Directors on May 8, 2013. This agreement gives the legal authority the accreditation center to provide specific accreditation services within the territories of all member states in the areas of calibration Measurement, testing, inspection and certification, commonly known as conformity assessment. It is established under the supervision of the Gulf Cooperation Council Standardization Organization and governed by the Board of Directors that exercises regular supervision over the Center’s affairs, and the regional committees that are drawn from each member state, including the stakeholder bodies.
