★ ★ ★ ★ ★ visiting this musuem was on our top to visit list, yet we dropped by on thursday to be told that it was rented for some private lunch and that it will be open for people on the second day. we drove again for 45 minutes on the second day, but unfortunately it was still closed for visitors for some private renting again!! shame to visit abha and not be able to see this site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a local treasure. The owner is world renowned in Arabian art and has done several prices for the UN. Both the architecture and the art are astonishing. They also have classes and train artists. Food is local, delicious, and freshly made.

Different kinds of antique jewelry is on display as you enter the place. A colorful variety of hand painted wall hangings of different sizes, mugs, vases, cups, boxes, finjaan, are on display and most of the items are available for sale as well. Do look at all the items before deciding to buy as you end up liking almost everything. Met the husband of the lady who makes such beautiful pieces, each one of them reflective of the local culture. His son took us around and was very helpful (although he spoke limited English). There is also a smaller gift shop but the place itself is a gift shop so you can find something aesthetically appealing and to your liking. If you are in Abha, do take the time to visit.
