ممّا لا شكّ فيه أنّ صلاة الجماعة لها آثار طيّبة كثيرة سواء على مستوى الفرد أو المجتمع، فعلى مستوى الفرد فإنّ المسلم يتحصّل على الأجر المضاعف في ذهابه إلى المسجد؛ لأنّه ساهم في تعميره وتكثير سواد المصلّين فيه، كما يكون في المشي إلى المساجد تكفير الحسنات ورفع الدّرجات، وقد بشّر النّبي عليه الصّلاة والسّلام المشّائين إلى المساجد في الظّلمات بالنّور التّام يوم القيامة. أمّا على مستوى المجتمع الإسلامي فإنّ للصّلاة في المساجد آثارها الطّيبة فهي تحقّق مبادىء التّكافل والتّعاون بين المسلمين، حيث يجتمعون في مواعيد الصّلوات الخمس ويتواصون فيما بينهم بالخير والحقّ، ويكون الاجتماع في المساجد فرصة لتفقّد المساكين وأهل الحاجة من المسلمين وجمع التّبرعات والصّدقات لهم والحثّ عليها. كما أنّ الصّلاة في المساجد تصنع المحبّة والودّ بين المسلمين، وتبعث برسائل طيّبة للصّديق والعدو. إنّ المسلمين في حياتهم وتعاملاتهم وردعهم لأعدائهم هم كحالهم في المساجد عندما ترى صفوفهم متراصّة كالبينان المرصوص.
