★ ★ ★ ★ ★ في أواخر عام 1956م افتتح الملك سعود بن عبد العزيز رحمه الله قصر الناصرية الجديد بمدينة الرياض في الحي الملكي آنذاك ( حي الناصرية ) لذي كان عبارة عن مزرعة اشتراها الملك سعود من شخص اسمه بن ناصر لتتحول الى واحدة من أرقى وأهم أحياء العاصمة خصوصا بعد تشييد قصر الناصرية الجديد الذي يذكر لنا السويسري هوسية ارنولد المشرف آنذاك على ضيافة قصور الملك سعود من خلال كتابه مذكرات هوسية ارنولد أن القصر كان الابعد عظمة وهيبة حتى قال حينها ان حي الناصرية سيشكل بوجود هذا المعلم الفريد العاصمة الحكومية الرسمية للملك سعود وقدم وصفا سريعا للقصر مبتدئا من السور المسيج للقصر والممتد بلونه البرتقالي الزهري على طول أحد عشر كيلو متر وارتفاع ستة أمتار بسمك مترين تقريبا, وفي داخله قام مجمع ضخم مستقل النشاط يحتوي على قصر استقبال ضخم من الاسمنت بلون السور وقصر سكني مهيب من الرخام الابيض وقصر مخصص للعائلة مترف تحيطه حدائق مذهلة الجمال ومستشفى بسعة مئتي سرير وجامعة سميت باسم الملك ومنازل واسعة ومريحة أخرى للعائلات ومجمعات أخرى من الثكنات العسكرية والمرائب الملكية وكذلك مساحات شاسعة من الأحراج والحدائق.
