ويصدق عليهم قول زهير بن أبي سُلمى:
تراه إذا ما جئته متهـــــللاً ***

وفي الناس من يعطي عطاء متاجر ***
وآخر يعطي كالسحاب المسحر
وقول "الحطيئة ":
متى تاته تعشو الى ضوء ناره***
