تعتبر المساجد بيوت الله سبحانه وتعالى على الأرض، لذلك جاءت الشّريعة الإسلاميّة لتولي المساجد اهتماماً خاصًّا، كما ندب النّبي صلّى الله عليه وسلّم المسلمين إلى بناء بيوت لله بقوله من بنى لله بيتاً في الأرض بنى الله تعالى له بيتاً في الجنّة، وقد كان أوّل عمل يفعله النّبي الكريم بعد الهجرة النّبويّة المشرّفة أن يبني المسجد حتّى يصلّي فيه النّاس، وهذا يدلّ على أهميّة المساجد في الإسلام وأهميّة الدور الذي تقوم به، يؤمَّر المسلم باحترام المساجد باعتبارها مكان عبادة فلا يرفث فيها ولا يفسق ولا يرفع صوته ولا ينشغل فيها باللهو، وينبغي على المسلمين تجنيب مساجدهم مجانينهم وصغارهم ممن لا يعقلون أو لم يبلغوا الدّرجة التي يعقلون بها حتّى يبقى للمسجد احترامه وهيبته، كما نهى الإسلام عن المبالغة في زخرفة المساجد وتزينها،
وصل اللهم على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم تسليما كثيرا
A house of God's house
Mosques are considered the homes of God Almighty on earth, so Islamic law came to give mosques special attention, as the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, mandated Muslims to build houses for God when he said, “Whoever builds a house for God on earth, God Almighty will build him a house in Heaven, and it was the first act he did.” The Noble Prophet, after the honorable prophetic emigration, has to build the mosque so that people can pray in it, and this indicates the importance of mosques in Islam and the importance of the role they play. Keeping their mosques away from the madmen and their young ones who do not understand or have not reached the degree to which they are sensible so that the mosque can maintain its respect and prestige, just as Islam forbade exaggeration in the decoration and adornment of mosques.
